U.S. EMS Shipping Resumption and Customs Payment Method Change Notice

EMS shipping service to the United States, which was suspended due to the government data center fire on September 26, will resume. Additionally, there is an important notice regarding changes to U.S. customs regulations. If you are planning to ship to the United States, please be sure to review the information below.

Service Resumption Details

  • Resumption Date: From Tuesday, October 22, 2025
  • Shipping Service: U.S. EMS acceptance and dispatch normalized
  • Held Orders: Items held during the system outage will be shipped progressively

From October 22, EMS shipping to the United States will resume normally, and both new orders and held orders will be processed.

Important: Change in Customs Payment Method

Due to changes in U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations, the customs duties and fees payment method is changing.

  • Previous Method (DDU): Recipient pays customs duties and fees upon delivery
  • New Method (DDP): Sender prepays customs duties and fees at the time of shipping

Accordingly, Filliwell will unavoidably transition to collecting estimated customs duties and fees at the time of product payment. This is a measure to comply with the new U.S. customs regulations and will apply to all shipments to the United States.

Upcoming Information

We will provide detailed information through a separate notice regarding the specific calculation method for customs duties and fees, payment procedures, and implementation schedule. We will announce this promptly once preparations are complete.

For Orders Already Placed

Items ordered during the system outage will be shipped progressively from October 22. If additional guidance regarding customs duties and fees is needed, we will contact you individually.
